The challenge
Bistro Groep NL had 15 individual WooCommerce webshops for each restaurant location. The webshops were slow, crashed during peak moments (lunch and dinner) and the checkout took so long that customers abandoned their orders. Revenue loss was significant.
Our approach
Performance audit of all 15 webshops with identification of bottlenecks
Migration to a centralised WooCommerce multisite with local customisations per location
Implementation of Redis object caching and LiteSpeed page caching
Database optimisation: cleanup of 2.3GB of redundant data
Image optimisation: conversion to WebP, lazy loading, CDN implementation
Load testing with simulation of 10,000 concurrent users
